The knowledge of Hebrews Israelite living in West Africa was commonly known to the world back in 1400 -1800. In fact, most slave ships sailing to West Africa were accompanied by Hebrew translators. Why, you might ask? Getting acquainted with the Bantu tribes’ oral history, the answer would be very simple. This woulf often be the common language they would communicate with their slaves onboard. Again, just as predicted by the prophet Isaiah 19:18, “five cities will speak the language of Canaan in Africa”. Since Egypt was the main power in Africa, the ancient often referred to the continent Africa as Egypt and/or Cush “Ethiopia”. So yes, most slaves spoke dialects Hebrew before arriving to the new world.
